About Me

I think it is time to update this, I am no longer 25 – I am now 26 🙂 (original “About Me” is still below)

That isn’t the only update. Since the inception of my blog I have changed a bit. I have gotten very sick, sought answers, and found them. Some have been health/nutrition related but the biggest have been soul healing. I have learned truths and my eyes have been opened unlike they have been in the past. The scales have been removed and I know who I am in Christ.

My past does not define me, but it has shaped me into the person that I am today and for that I am thankful. I am a daughter of the Risen King, I have been fearfully and wonderfully made. It has been a journey, but one that was worth every step.

I found out for sure that I was in stage three adrenal exhaustion in September 2013 and am trialing a few things to reverse that. I think it is working and I am on the road to recovery. (again)

I hope you enjoy the blog and please feel free to leave comments. The disclaimer below still holds true 🙂

Original “About Me”

Hello, Beautiful!

I am a 25 year old mechanical engineer in a manufacturing facility.  I am on a journey to good health through trial and error with nutrition.  I began to change my health in 2008 and lost 100 pounds in about 8 months.  I had always been overweight and one day decided to change that.

Through my quest for weightloss and health I discovered I have a gluten sensitivity in 2011 and it has had a large impact on my health my whole life.  Since learning this, I began following the paleo lifestyle in November 2011 and have been almost 100% paleo since January 2012.  I have had great results and my health is beginning to improve even more, things have cleared up that I didn’t even realize were related!

So there are a few things you should know about me before getting started.  I am random, opinionated, passionate, and overuse commas. Not going to lie.

I hope you enjoy the blog and my random antics in my crazy busy life. 🙂

  1. oh… sorry I just realized that you lost a lot of your weight before going Paleo… but I’ll bet Paleo probably helped you keep it off and like you said it’s not only about weight but about being healthy. Keep it up.

    1. Yes, I lost the weight from cutting processed foods and working out. I had trouble keeping it off and was still having health problems after I graduated and started to work full-time. I began paleo January 2012 and have had great results since then.
It not only has allowed me to stop counting calories, but my health is turning around too!
